Brian A. Johnson, Partner

Brian Johnson is a founding partner of Crown Capital Partners.

Brian is also a founding partner of Crown Realty Partners. Until July 2007, he was the President and CEO of Crown Life Insurance Company.  Brian joined Crown Life in 1987 as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, and in 1991 became Senior Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer, overseeing a portfolio of stock, bond, mortgage, real estate, and private equity investments.

Prior to joining Crown Life, Brian was the Senior Vice-President, Finance, Investments, and International Banking for the Continental Bank of Canada.  Brian has worked in senior finance, investment, and administration positions in both the service and manufacturing industries, as well as having been a financial management consultant with Booz, Allan & Hamilton.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba (gold medalist), an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Brian participates on the boards of MCAN Mortgage Corporation, Crombie Real Estate Investment Trust, Western Surety Company, Big Sky Farms Inc., Nightingale Corp., and Stegg Ltd.
